Mike Perry has a mission in life: he wants to see how much income he can make using only free blogs and without shelling out any money. He uses the same Blogger template as I do, and has demonstrated rather well that you don't need to spend a fortune - or indeed anything at all - to have a blog that is well laid out and easy to follow.

The thing that I like the most is the weekly income report. Mike gives his readers a breakdown of the previous week's income, complete with a short comment on each entry.

The thing I like the least is the way that he allows non-money making links to various blog directories to clutter up the lower part of his right hand column. Surely it would be better if they were all stuck at the bottom of the page out of the way?

That caveat aside, this is a blog to watch if, like me, you want to make some money out of the blogging game. Mike Perry sets out his strategies very clearly, and then reports on their success or failure. What this means is that others can follow in his footsteps.
